Rolex Serial Numbers with Production Dates
Couple of notes:
- When Rolex reached the 1'000'000 production serial in the early 1954, they restarted the production serial: this is why our page considers only watches produced after year 1954.
- If your watch has a Rolex warranty, it could happen a mismatch between the serial number and the number annotated in the warranty.
The reason behind this is that if the watch was sold in the years after the production (aka the serial number) the warranty would have annotate a different number (that is the number of the year the sale was made).
Where to look for my Rolex serial number
Our 1-year shop warranty:
When you purchase a watch from us, you will receive a 1 year warranty against mechanical defects.
On all our warranties, we annotate the serial number of the watch sold, so you can be sure about the production year of your new Rolex.
